About The Position

ESI Waterproofing & Masonry Restoration is seeking a sharp, driven Controller to oversee the company’s financial operations and support sound business decisions. This hands-on leadership role is based in Rockland, Massachusetts, and involves bringing accuracy and clarity to the company’s financial processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of accounting or financial management experience, ideally in construction or contracting.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP schedules, and project-based accounting.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Nice To Haves

• CPA.
• Experience with payroll processing and multi-state tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the general ledger.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and applicable tax regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax preparers, and financial institutions.
• Monitor job costing and project financials in coordination with operations leadership.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies.
