About The Position

ESI Waterproofing & Masonry Restoration is seeking a sharp and driven Controller to join its team in Rockland, Massachusetts. This key leadership role owns the company's financial operations and supports sound business decisions in a hands-on environment. The Controller oversees accounting, reporting, cash management, compliance, and project financials while developing internal controls and financial policies. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
At least 5 years of accounting or financial management experience, ideally in construction or contracting.
Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP schedules, and project-based accounting.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Nice To Haves

CPA preferred.
Experience with payroll processing and multi-state tax compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the general ledger.
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and applicable tax regulations.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax preparers, and financial institutions.
Monitor job costing and project financials in coordination with operations leadership.
Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies.
