About The Position

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the VP of Finance to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with corporate goals.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead financial planning processes, including annual budgeting, forecasting and long range modeling.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with ASPE, internal policies and external audit requirements.
  • Manage all general ledger activities, reconciliations and financial close processes.
  • Coordinate annual external audits and act as primary liaison with auditors.
  • Maintain and enhance accounting policies, procedures and documentation.
  • Design, implement and maintain effective internal controls and financial policies.
  • Ensure compliance with approval processes, segregation of duties and governance standards.
  • Support continues improvement in financial risk management and reporting integrity.
  • Identify opportunities to automate core accounting processes (e.g., reconciliations, journal entries, reporting cycles) as well as implement tools and workflows that reduce manual intervention and improve cycle times.
  • Oversee the effective use and continuous improvement of financial systems (ERP, reporting tools, dashboards).
