Controller

Reachdesk Ltd•Philadelphia, PA
•$170,000 - $200,000

About The Position

Reachdesk is seeking a hands-on accounting leader to own the day-to-day accounting function, from monthly close through consolidated US GAAP financials, audits, controls, and technical accounting. Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will protect the integrity of the company’s financial reporting, develop the accounting team, and improve how the function operates. The business combines SaaS, prepaid customer wallets, a global gift marketplace, branded merchandise, and international fulfillment. Its six entities and multiple currencies create accounting complexity across revenue recognition, principal-versus-agent judgments, wallet balances and breakage, physical goods, intercompany activity, foreign exchange, tax, and statutory reporting. The Controller will partner with leaders and teams across the business on initiatives and complex problems, applying sound judgment and practical solutions while driving work to completion. The role will accelerate the close, strengthen controls, and build a high-performing international accounting team. It uses NetSuite, SuiteBilling, and an integrated finance stack processing tens of thousands of transactions each month, with an emphasis on automation and process improvement. The position is based in New York, NY, or may be remote on the US East Coast.
