About The Position

myAbode is seeking a Controller to build and lead the financial operations function at the heart of its growing organization. This role goes beyond traditional accounting, with the Controller owning the end-to-end finance operations infrastructure, from treasury and cash management to internal controls, payroll, and deal processing workflows. The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator who brings both rigor and pragmatism, with a track record of optimizing finance processes in complex, fast-moving environments. This position offers significant scope for improvement and direct access to leadership to implement changes.

Requirements

CPA designation.
7+ years of progressive experience.
Experience in a high-growth or early-stage environment where finance operations were built from scratch.
Proven experience designing controls frameworks.
Experience standing up finance operations from scratch.
Ability to identify and fix broken processes proactively.
Comfort with ambiguity and ability to make sound decisions with incomplete information.
Technical fluency, including evaluating tools, caring about data integrity, and understanding how systems should work.
Ability to translate complexity into clarity for leadership, team, and the business.

Build and lead the financial operations function.

Establish and maintain a clean, reliable month-end close and reconciliation process.
Ensure AP/AR operations run smoothly at scale.
Develop and maintain a dynamic rolling forecast.
Manage finance operations across treasury, procurement, and sales workflows.
Create efficient, controlled, and scalable deal processing workflows.
Build treasury and cash management infrastructure.
Oversee payroll administration in partnership with external providers.
