About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting functions for our global manufacturing operations. This role will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and supporting strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in a global manufacturing environment and demonstrated leadership in building efficient financial processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with manufacturing industry experience required
  • Experience with a global Company with foreign entities and consolidations
  • 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory management
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., M1, Epicor, Net Suite or similar)
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Effective communicator with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CMA certification
  • Experience implementing or improving ERP/accounting systems

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, inventory and fixed assets
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Coordinate and support year-end review and tax preparation with outside audit firm.
  • Partner with operations to enhance financial visibility and improve plant performance
  • Participate in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
  • Provide financial analysis, variance reporting, and actionable insights to leadership
  • Support strategic planning and capital investment decisions
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable domestic and foreign regulatory requirements
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development
