The Marcus Jewish Community Center is a multi-faceted nonprofit with approximately $40 million in annual revenue, delivering programs across mission areas. Our finance team plays a critical role in sustaining mission impact through rigorous stewardship of public and private resources. The Controller is a key member of the finance team, responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization. Reporting to the CFO/CAO, the Controller ensures the accuracy and integrity of the organization's financial records, leads the monthly and year-end close processes, manages accounting and compliance, and directly supervises a team of four accounting professionals. This role works closely with the Director of Finance as well as department directors across the organization, requiring exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills in addition to deep technical expertise. The ideal candidate brings thorough knowledge of nonprofit GAAP and thrives in a complex, multi-departmental environment while remaining deeply committed to the organization's mission. This is a hands-on role which requires attention to detail and the ability to balance routine daily activities & reconciliations with more complex analysis & special projects. It is a full-time, in person position based in Dunwoody, GA.
