About The Position

EMCOR Services Betlem is looking for a Controller who is a finance leader responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate financial information, strengthening processes, and supporting strategic decision‑making across the organization.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people management
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
Proven ability to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and Excel; ERP system experience (ex. COINS/Oracle/SAP)
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Experience managing audits (internal/external)

Nice To Haves

CPA or equivalent professional certification a plus
Experience in the Construction industry a plus

Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and revenue recognition.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Manage the close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
Coordinate and lead external audits, sales tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
Provide clear financial insights and variance analysis to support business decisions.
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Support system implementations, process improvements, and scalability initiatives as the company grows.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
