As the Full-Time Controller at Minden Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the month-end-close accounting processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include performing monthly account reconciliations, assisting the CFO with financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, and addressing various reporting agency requests, such as those from AHA and CMS. You will analyze financial data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and cost-saving initiatives while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards. Collaborating with executive leadership, you will develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's objectives. Additionally, you will lead and manage a Senior Accountant, monitor internal controls, and participate in policy development to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness, safeguarding Minden Medical Center's assets while mitigating financial risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in healthcare finance.
  • At least two years in a leadership role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a sharp focus on accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with financial management software.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Commitment to excellence.

  • MBA or CPA preferred.
