Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
A minimum of four years of experience in healthcare finance.
At least two years of experience in a leadership role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with a sharp focus on accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Familiarity with financial management software.

Nice To Haves

MBA or CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

Overseeing the month-end-close accounting processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
Performing monthly account reconciliations.
Assisting the CFO with financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
Addressing various reporting agency requests, such as those from AHA and CMS.
Analyzing financial data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.
Collaborating with executive leadership to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's objectives.
Leading and managing a Senior Accountant.
Monitoring internal controls.
Participating in policy development to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Safeguarding Minden Medical Center's assets while mitigating financial risk.
