About The Position

MAK Talent is representing a client searching for a new corporate controller position to build efficiencies into our accounting/finance processes. The controller will work directly with senior leadership to drive financial decisions and identify growth opportunities throughout the company. A good fit would be a self-starting, self-accountable individual with the ability to think creatively to solve a variety of problems and challenges.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting
At least four years of related experience
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
QuickBooks experience
Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
Must be detail oriented with ability to analyze data ensuring quality and accuracy
Critical thinking skills with ability to research and solve problems

Responsibilities

Develop/implement a month-end close process, where accurate financial statements are consistently delivered in a timely manner
Cashflow forecasting
Develop budgets and annual plans
Ensure accounting processes are GAAP compliant
Build in efficiencies to the existing accounting processes
Prepare trend analysis, models, research, and develop expert insight and recommended actions
Develop and analyze key performance indicators to support decision making
Partner with leaders to solve business challenges
Oversee tax preparation
Manage ad hoc projects and reporting
