About The Position

Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Love Field is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Hotel Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations for our full-service hotel. This leadership role is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, payroll oversight, accounts payable/receivable, cash management, audit compliance, and ensuring adherence to company and brand standards. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, hospitality-focused, and capable of partnering with department leaders to drive financial performance and operational success.

Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years of hotel accounting or hospitality finance experience preferred
Previous Hotel Controller or Assistant Controller experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of hotel PMS and accounting systems preferred
Strong understanding of: Financial statements, Budgeting, Forecasting, Payroll processing, Internal audits
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

Manage all hotel accounting functions including: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Income Audit, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliations
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports
Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and financial planning
Monitor labor costs, expenses, and revenue trends
Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards and company policies
Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures
Maintain accurate financial records and internal controls
Coordinate audits and tax-related documentation
Review daily revenue reports and cash handling procedures
Support department managers with financial analysis and cost controls
Oversee purchasing controls and inventory processes
Train and supervise accounting team members as needed
