About The Position

We are seeking a Controller to lead financial reporting, accounting operations, and audit activities. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring accurate financial management, compliance, and strategic support across the organization.

Requirements

• Strong background in accounting and financial reporting (GAAP)
• Experience leading audits and financial statement preparation
• Proven ability to manage and develop accounting teams
• Advanced Excel and accounting systems experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger and financial reporting processes, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
• Lead annual audits, financial statement preparation, and tax reporting (including Form 990)
• Manage cash flow, treasury activities, and asset/endowment accounting
• Supervise accounting teams across accounts payable, receivable, and student accounts
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and implement accounting standard updates
• Oversee capital assets, depreciation, and long-term asset planning
• Manage banking relationships, transactions, and cash-on-hand analysis
• Partner with leadership on financial strategy and operational efficiency
