About The Position

CORE Transformers is seeking a visionary Controller to lead their finance and accounting department at their Seneca, SC headquarters. This role will build the finance department and implement strategies to fuel the company's growth. CORE Transformers is a leader in electrical power transformers serving commercial & industrial markets. They are committed to assembling an amazing finance team to support their ambitious goals. The company has a small business feel with less than 40 people but is growing more than 100% year-over-year.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
Proven experience (6+ years) in progressively responsible financial leadership roles.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial management systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Responsibilities

Develop and execute financial strategies that align with CORE Transformers’ growth objectives.
Oversee day-to-day financial activities including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial reporting, etc.
Implement robust financial systems and processes to support scalability and operational efficiency.
Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Lead key initiatives such as financial reporting packages for the executive team, expense tracking system implementation, and inventory audit process development in collaboration with operations.
