About The Position

SingleSource is looking for a well-rounded accounting professional to join our team as a controller, overseeing our accounting team, financial reporting, and day-to-day accounting operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with a strong corporate accounting experience who is comfortable taking ownership of processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and strengthening financial controls. In this role, you’ll work closely with our CFO on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, financial analysis, and reporting. This is a hybrid role that will report to our Canonsburg, PA office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Hands-on accounting background with month-end close, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency working with ERP or accounting systems such as Great Plains, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, or similar platforms.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with the accounting team, executive leadership, and external partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous leadership experience is a plus but not required.
  • Financial Services or mortgage industry background is a plus.
  • Familiarity with multi-entity or joint venture accounting is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements, account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and cash management.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
  • Provide variance analysis and financial insights to help leadership understand business performance.
  • Lead, support, and develop the accounting team while establishing clear processes, expectations, and accountability.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial partners.
  • Evaluate current accounting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and automation.
