About The Position

We’re looking for an experienced Fractional Controller to help solo law firm owners understand their numbers, improve profitability, and make smarter financial decisions. You’ll advise a roster of 40 clients as part of a Fractional Executive Team of CEOs, COOs, CFOs, and Controllers.

Requirements

• Controller or senior-level accounting/finance experience
• Strong financial analysis, forecasting, KPI, and dashboard experience
• Proven results improving profitability, cash flow, or expenses
• Experience managing teams or client relationships
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financials simply
• Reside in AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, LA, MD, MI, MO, NC, NE, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, or WV.

Nice To Haves

• Small business or entrepreneurial experience strongly preferred
• Professional services or law firm experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly 1:1 financial strategy calls with clients
• Analyze financial statements, KPIs, profitability, and cash flow
• Build and interpret financial dashboards
• Prepare short-term cash flow forecasts and identify risks
• Turn financial data into clear, actionable recommendations
• Coach clients toward stronger financial habits and accountability
