About The Position

The Controller is responsible for managing our finance department providing information, primarily financial in nature, about all company activities that will assist management, its shareholders, and other users in making educated economic decisions about the company’s future. This position is an in-person, in-office, or hybrid role.

  • Advanced degree in accounting
  • CPA or CMA preferred
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Proven working experience as a Financial Controller
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  • Willing and ready to exemplify HHIT’s core values on a daily basis
  • Responsible for protecting data entrusted to HHIT by customers or other parties which is demonstrated through strict adherence to HHIT’s data security and privacy policies and procedures
  • Speaking and writing English is a requirement for this position
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, employee expense reports and cash control, etc.
  • Oversee the activities of accounts receivable to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings
  • Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes data, and enhances the company’s value
  • Respond to the CFO as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate financial needs
  • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
  • Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to the CFO
  • Issue complete financial statements
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors when necessary
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage outsourced functions of the finance department
  • Participate in committees and/or focus groups as requested
  • Complete other job-related assignments and special projects as directed
