About The Position

As Controller, you will manage the accounting system to provide timely, accurate financial reports and information, and oversee financial and business office processes that help to drive our mission forward and support the highest quality of care for our residents.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business with a strong concentration in financial accounting.
Five to seven years of progressive experience in management of accounting systems, financial reporting, and budgeting are required.
Advanced proficiency with computerized accounting systems and financial software, with the ability to leverage technology to improve efficiency, accuracy, and financial processes.

Nice To Haves

CPA licensure or an MBA is preferred.
Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage the general ledger and monthly and annual close processes to ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
Assist in preparation of the annual budget, forecasts, and capital project projections, variance analysis, and financial reporting to facilitate organizational decision-making.
Compute key financial ratios, bank covenants, and develop other key metrics to measure financial results.
Provide leadership for accounts payable, payroll, and billing and collections.
Maintain strong internal controls and compile documentation or prepare analyses needed for external audits, regulatory filings, Medicare/Medicaid cost reports, and Form 990.
Collaborate with department leaders and senior leadership to provide financial insight, operational analysis, and strategic support.
Play a leading role in financial system upgrades, process improvements, or other initiatives to improve operations or business office processes.
