Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate accounting and financial reporting
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting
  • Experience overseeing month-end processes, reconciliations, and financial analysis
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing accounting staff
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Comfort managing priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CMA designation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present accurate financial statements and analysis to Executive Management and the Board of Directors
  • Ensure timely and reliable financial reporting to support strategic decision making
  • Perform account reconciliations and oversee the integrity of financial data
  • Establish and monitor strong internal controls that protect the accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality of financial data
  • Evaluate accounting processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Conduct periodic fiscal audits and ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and professional standards
  • Stay current on changes in accounting rules, tax requirements, and regulatory expectations
  • Oversee accounting for company subsidiaries, including review and approval of financial activity
  • Manage rebate schedules, dividend reporting, and related customer financial reporting requirements
  • Ensure proper accounting for shareholder investments and stock-related transactions
  • Support AR-related customer inquiries and coordinate electronic fund transfers
  • Partner with IT to utilize financial systems and technology to manage financial data effectively
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and reporting processes
  • Respond to requests and analysis needs from executive leadership and other departments
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, including the Senior Staff Accountant, Accountant, and Accounts Payable staff
  • Assign work, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development
  • Recruit, onboard, and train team members as needed
  • Collaborate with Human Resources on employee relations and team development initiatives
