About The Position

Requirements

Advanced understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Expertise in advanced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics GP) and financial close management tools.
Ability to interpret complex financial data to generate insights, improve operational efficiency, and drive profitability.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field
Minimum of 8-10 years related experience including computer and/or business management experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, producing accurate balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Assist leadership in developing annual budgets, entering information into software, monitor the budget against actual spending, and identify financial variances.
Develop, implement, and maintain internal accounting policies to safeguard company assets, mitigate risk, and prevent fraud.
Manages, maintains and mentor the accounting department, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and payroll staff.
Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations including 1099s, W-2.
Develops, and submits the indirect cost proposal to the federal government for federal contracts.
Contract involvement for third party payers.
