About The Position

The Controller at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center directs the month-end close process, maintains the general ledger, and supervises accounting staff. The role supports financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, Medicare reporting, productivity monitoring, and audits, working with the CFO, CSO, and Division Office.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience.
• Previous supervisory experience.

Nice To Haves

• Accounting experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct preparation of monthly journal entries and statistical reporting (FS100’s).
• Review and approve monthly balance sheet reconciliations and forward the attestation statement to the Division.
• Enforce internal controls by ensuring compliance with SOX guidelines and completing the Internal Controls Checklist.
• Assist the CFO with preparation of the annual budget.
• Complete monthly Medicare Exhibits and assist with year-end Medicare Work-papers.
• Assist with preparation of the weekly EBDITA projection.
• Assist the CSO with preparation of bi-weekly productivity monitoring reports.
• Provide information required for internal or external financial audits.
• Prepare monthly analysis reports for submission to the Division Office.
• Complete other tasks assigned by the CFO.
• Maintain the general ledger and supervise accounting staff.
• Direct the month-end close process.
