About The Position

Overall financial responsibility for the operations and all other related activities at the plant, while holding the local team accountable to the results. This role involves monthly financial reporting and financial analysis to the Process Council, updating and tracking plant dashboards, and providing daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting to both the local team and the corporate office. The Controller will prepare annual budgets, monthly/weekly forecasts, and analyze variances. Key responsibilities include managing all A/P, A/R, production and non-production purchasing, and payroll. The role also requires monitoring and managing all aspects of the plant’s perpetual inventories to ensure no shortages occur, leading monthly physical inventories, and monitoring Engineering Changes to ensure no negative financial issues result from them. Financial progress will be reported to the local and Corporate Teams through monthly management reviews. A weekly forecast of prior week’s results and possible future events that veer from the last forecast or budget, with recommended mitigating actions, will be prepared. The Controller must have complete knowledge of the operation at the facility and consistently offer suggestions for improvement, while monitoring the plant's spending to ensure fiscal responsibility. Monthly deliverables to both the local team and the Corporate Team include a complete report out of monthly results, analysis of variances to both monthly forecasts and annual budgets, monthly forecasts and analysis to budget and prior month forecasts, updated monthly balance sheet activity, a complete breakdown of accounts receivable position, and day-to-day accounting functions. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of general accounting experience with very strong operational prowess in the automotive industry, specifically Tier 1 supplier experience with the OEMs.
  • Prior manufacturing plant Controller experience a must.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
