The Controller is responsible for the leadership and oversight of the Company's accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial information. This position oversees general accounting operations, accounts payable, payroll accounting, revenue recognition, month-end and year-end close processes, financial statement preparation, internal controls, cash management, compliance, and Single Audit coordination (financial statements, grant expenditures and internal controls compliance). The Controller partners closely with the Chief Financial Officer to support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, lender reporting, and strategic decision-making. The role is accountable for maintaining compliance with GAAP, establishing scalable accounting processes, and producing accurate and meaningful financial reports for executive leadership, ownership, lenders, auditors, and other stakeholders. Achievement of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting deadlines is a critical responsibility of this position. The Controller must effectively communicate financial results, trends, risks, and opportunities through executive-level presentations, dashboards, and reporting packages that support informed business decisions. As the organization continues to grow, the Controller will lead the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of the accounting function, while building a high-performing accounting team capable of supporting a multi-entity, multi-state behavioral healthcare organization with diverse revenue streams and increasing operational complexity.
