About The Position

Lead the Finance Function for a Stable, Well-Established Organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Public accounting audit experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
  • Experience with percentage-of-completion accounting.
  • Experience preparing financial statements and managing the month-end close process.
  • Multi-entity accounting experience is preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Sage Intacct, or comparable ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all day-to-day accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable/Billing, Payroll, and Job Cost Accounting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Manage revenue recognition and percentage-of-completion accounting.
  • Oversee multi-entity reporting and financial consolidations.
  • Forecast cash flow and provide financial insights to executive leadership.
  • Ensure timely billing, collections, and vendor payments.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses.
  • Coordinate annual financial statement audits with external auditors.
  • Support tax reporting and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Oversee payroll tax reporting and related compliance activities.
  • Maintain and improve accounting systems and financial processes.
  • Partner with leadership on special projects and operational initiatives.
  • Develop, mentor, and cross-train accounting staff to build organizational depth and continuity.
