Controller / Shared Services Leader (Hands-On)
About The Position
FilterPro USA companies is in the business of improving health through air purification. We manufacture, distribute, and service air filtration products and systems through our two companies: FP Filtration and FilterPro IAQ. FP Filtration manufactures and ships product throughout the Southeast United States; FilterPro IAQ distributes and services air filters across the Eastern US. We are seeking a hands-on Controller / Shared Services Lead to oversee our financial operations and help strengthen the systems that support our growing business. This role is responsible for owning the accuracy of our financials while improving the processes and systems behind them. We have a solid foundation in place. Your role is to tighten, improve, and build where needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years in accounting or finance (Controller or similar experience preferred)
- Experience with multi-entity or growing businesses is a plus
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Business Central preferred)
- Understanding of basic cost accounting and financial controls
- Experience improving processes or systems
- Detail-oriented and take ownership of your work
- Comfortable working in a growing, evolving environment
- Able to improve processes, not just follow them
- Willing to step in where needed and solve problems
- Practical, organized, and accountable
Responsibilities
- Manage monthly close and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
- Maintain GAAP-compliant financials across multiple entities
- Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, and account integrity
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow visibility
- Assist with audit readiness and financial organization
- Support and improve processes across: Payroll, Benefits administration, HR coordination, Insurance and compliance
- Help bring consistency and structure across these functions
- Work within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Improve reporting accuracy and usability
- Identify inefficiencies and implement better workflows
- Strengthen internal controls and approval processes
- Ensure data is clean, consistent, and reliable
- Partner with operations and leadership to improve visibility into costs and profitability
- Help identify areas of inefficiency or margin leakage
- Support better decision-making through clear financial insights
