Controller - Paint Shop - Evening Shift

About The Position

Contributing to this role means: Obtaining the appropriate supplies to perform the work according to the tasks to be carried out and the project requirements; Masking according to workshop drawings; Mixing the coating product with the paint ratio recommended by the manufacturer and adding the appropriate thinner. Obtaining the correct viscosity; Painting steel parts according to the project's coating instructions; Adjusting the pressure and choosing the appropriate spray equipment; Controlling environmental parameters as needed; Following and completing the roadmap, calling the inspector when an inspection point is identified; When indicated, make corrections (touch-ups) and repairs. Inform the foreman of any problems, defects, necessary corrections, or non-conformities; Complete the coating product declaration form; Follow the surface coating procedure and use the appropriate forms; Comply with the requirements of the corporate quality management system (Quality Management Manual, Work Instructions, and applicable forms); Apply industry best practices and effective methods to ensure the improvement of our operational performance; Any other related tasks.

Requirements

  • Spoken and written languages: French and English (an asset)
  • Technical knowledge: overhead cranes and steel industry
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Adaptability, autonomy, manual dexterity, initiative, and dynamism
  • Organizational, analytical, and responsibility skills
