About The Position

The Controller II will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, including the preparation of financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. This mid-level position requires a solid understanding of accounting principles and offers opportunities for professional growth within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity of financial data.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Coordinate the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Manage all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions and reconciliations.
  • Maintain and update accounting records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures.
  • Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Lead the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and report variances.
  • Provide financial analysis and support for budget development.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and improve financial reporting accuracy.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial information.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior accounting staff.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new accounting processes and systems.
