Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate and control the BisPak process plant by continuously monitoring, adjusting and controlling process gauges and instruments within prescribed limits, while ensuring consistent product quality, optimal use of raw materials and utilities, reliable equipment performance and full compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards during shift operations.
  • Continuously monitor gauges, instruments, and control panels within the assigned plant section.
  • Adjust process parameters to maintain operations within prescribed specification limits.
  • Complete daily operator and process check sheets accurately and on time.
  • Control and stabilise section processes to ensure consistent product flow and quality.
  • Respond promptly to process deviations and alarms to minimise losses or downtime.
  • Apply basic problem‑solving to correct operational issues within defined authority.
  • Monitor, verify, and report utilities usage (e.g. steam, air, water, electricity) and raw material inputs.
  • Identify and report parameter deviations that may impact product quality or efficiency.
  • Support optimal stock and material consumption through effective process control.
  • Observe machinery and equipment performance during operations.
  • Identify, report, and escalate equipment faults, abnormalities, or safety concerns timeously.
  • Record downtime accurately in shift reports, including TE and NE classifications.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, hygiene, and food safety standards at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly and compliant work area.
  • Report near misses, hazards, and incidents immediately and support “Zero LTI” objectives.
  • Support and comply with AIB and other audit requirements.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and legible log sheets, checklists, and shift handover notes.
  • Communicate process status, deviations, and corrective actions during shift handovers.
  • Ensure data accuracy for production, quality, and efficiency reporting.
  • Work effectively within a continuous shift system.
  • Communicate promptly with the Shift Supervisor and cross‑functional teams when required.
  • Support smooth shift transitions through effective handover and information sharing.
