About The Position

This position provides oversight to the day-to-day activities of the finance team at each site/plant and ensures the company's finance function is organized and efficient and produces accurate financial and management accounts. This is a corporate position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in controlling for an automotive supplier.
  • Customer tooling, SAP, and prototype experience as it relates to controlling.
  • Two years of experience managing at least 5+ employees (accountants, financial analysts, cost estimators, etc.).
  • Billion-dollar industry experience, preferably automotive.
  • Knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, etc.
  • Extensive SAP experience related to accounting modules.
  • Ability to travel domestically by car or plane.
  • Very strong Microsoft Office skills, especially MS Excel.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations, including calculations, percentages, etc.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence.
  • Synthesize complex or diverse information; collect and research data; use intuition and experience to complement data; design work flows and procedures.
  • Understand business implications of decisions.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability.
  • Knowledge of engineering fundamentals, mechanical systems, automotive systems, and exhaust systems.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
  • Develop project plans; coordinate projects; communicate changes and progress; complete projects on time and budget; manage project team activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight to the day-to-day activities of the finance team at each site/plant.
  • Ensure the company's finance function is organized and efficient and produces accurate financial and management accounts.
  • Prepare a monthly Management Reporting Package.
  • Present monthly and year-to-date reporting of financials with accompanying analysis of results.
  • Report performance to budget and forecast to plan and assist in actions to alter business performance.
  • Lead the annual business plan development and budgeting process.
  • Lead the monthly and quarterly outlook process.
  • Lead financial modeling and analysis to support the development of long-term strategic initiatives and plans.
  • Manage, develop and train plant controllers responsible for plant controlling.
  • Ensure that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained.
  • Conduct all business-related activities for, and on behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
  • Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and follow all EETAM policies related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; look for ways to improve and promote quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.
