About The Position

“Launch” is a new pathway for graduates stepping directly into permanent roles at Rolls-Royce. This program is designed for ambitious graduates (Bachelors, Masters or PhD level) who are ready to make an impact from day one, supported with on the job learning and career progression opportunities. The role involves working on a wide range of projects supporting Rolls-Royce’s diverse customer base and will be responsible for Configuration Management (CM), supporting engineers in complex system, software and hardware development. The individual will be an active participant, helping teams understand and comply with CM-related processes. During development, it is important that product life-cycle data is controlled and documented correctly and consistently. The role is based in the Electrical, Electronics, Software, Control System Design, and System Security (E24S) group, which is part of the Rolls-Royce Engineering, Technology and Safety business capability. This group is the central home for engineering skills in the Rolls-Royce group and encompasses Software (traditional and model-base), Systems, Electronics, Electrical Power, and System Security. The team works closely together in the design, integration, testing, in-service support and supply chain management to ensure our customers’ needs are met. In this role, the contribution will ensure changes to configured data are authorized and tracked to completion. The individual will be working on a cross-functional, agile team under the guidance of a Senior Engineer. Opportunities include working with internal and external customers to ensure the work product produced meets the quality and safety standards required by Rolls-Royce and external certification agencies.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills, intellectual curiosity and the ability to solve problems using analytical and critical thinking
  • Ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively
  • Knowledge/experience of high level software languages
  • Knowledge/experience with system control
  • Good written and oral communication to a variety of audiences (e.g., team members, technical experts and management)
  • Demonstration of presentation skills both orally as well as visual management
  • Ability to travel to worksites to perform responsibilities
  • Educated to degree level in a STEM subject, including Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or an Engineering Technology degree (e.g. Electrical Engineering Technology)
  • Will receive degree between December 2025 and August 2026.
  • Ability to work in the U.S. with indefinite work authorization; No sponsorships are available for this role.
