About The Position

Reporting to the Supervisor, Production, your Electrical expertise will be utilized for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical control panels used in industrial and manufacturing settings. They work with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to build panels that control machinery, HVAC systems, or other automated processes. Requirements

  • General electrical knowledge
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year certificate from college or technical school or a minimum of one year related experience, or 6 month with the department
  • Ability to read and comprehend schematics and blueprints (drawings).
  • Utilize calculators and basic math skills in all units of measure.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, schematic diagram, drawing, or schedule form.
  • Identify electrical/wiring symbols.
  • Ability to transfer information from drawings / wiring schematics to the project.
  • Incorporate any design changes into the project
  • Attendance – Regular attendance is critical and required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Cutting, stripping, and crimping wires
  • Mounting electrical components (such as relays, circuit breakers, and PLCs)
  • Performing point-to-point wiring and cable routing
  • Conducting functional testing to ensure panels meet design specifications
  • Ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards
  • Reads and follows basic work instructions for panel assembly.
  • Assists in cutting, stripping, and crimping wires under supervision.
  • Mounts simple electrical components such as terminal blocks and wire ducts.
  • Uses basic hand tools and power tools safely.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Other duties as assigned.
