About The Position

We are looking for an Electrical Panel Technician to support our Primex brand. This role will work out of our Vacaville, CA location. Our Primex brand is a leading provider of control solutions for the municipal and wastewater industries, offering pump control panels, full-featured web-hosted SCADA solutions, and highly complex system integration projects. As our Control Panel Builder, you will lay out back panels and doors according to schematics and company standards, assembling and wiring electrical control panels from start to finish using production drawings and bills of material. You will install and wire electrical and other devices in accordance with company and industry requirements, while modifying enclosures using hand tools and machinery as needed. As part of the building process, you will fabricate brackets and custom doors and perform light metal fabrication to support panel assembly. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate project documentation, including checking off and marking up production drawings to track progress and identify any issues or errors. Throughout each project, you will communicate closely with Design Engineers, Project Managers, and other team members to address questions, resolve issues, and ensure successful completion. You will also track loose and spare parts kits, record and provide First Time Quality (FTQ) feedback on completed work, and on occasion, may travel to job sites to assist Field Service Technicians with field installations.

Requirements

  • Experience with assembling and wiring control panels
  • Experience working off blueprints, schematics, and a bill of materials
  • Knowledge of electrical theory
  • Measurement skills
  • Metal fabrication skills
