About The Position

The Control Equipment Technician (CET) is responsible for troubleshooting weaving machines, understanding the operation of fans, motors, and pumps, performing preventative and breakdown maintenance on auxiliary equipment, and having knowledge of electrical circuit boards and integrated circuits. This role involves adhering to general plant safety rules and absolutes, operating equipment safely, meeting production goals, following policies and procedures, and providing timely responses to safety concerns and equipment failures. The technician will maintain working conditions and perform minor repairs on a wide range of facilities and auxiliary equipment.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and write and follow directions
  • Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions
  • Basic Math (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong discipline and ability to work both alone and in groups
  • Must be able to hear power equipment operating in work area
  • Must be able to see clearly and pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Must be able to rotate shifts (1st and 3rd)
  • Two-year technical degree or equivalent in electronics

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of all general plant safety rules & safety absolutes.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner
  • Meet production goals set-out by department manager
  • Follow proper policies and procedures set out by department and location
  • Provide timely response to safety concerns and equipment failures
  • Maintain working condition and perform minor repairs on wide range of facilities and auxiliary equipment
  • Knowledge of support operator policies and procedures
  • Completing daily team maintenance (DTM) activities
  • Auditing safety items in department
