Requirements

  • Equal to completion of four years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training.
  • Completion and passing of the Medical Terminology course is required.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications, i.e. Word, Excel, database, order entry, etc. is required.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of related work experience in a hospital setting is required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision of the Manager, OR Control Desk or Designee, perform a variety of duties within and in support of the Perioperative Services Department including but not limited to: accurately schedule a variety of related procedures for the Perioperative Services according to established policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining all communication to and from the OR Control Desk, PreOp, Holding, PACU, Anesthesiologist in Charge, and other hospital departments.
