Bird Civil et Mines is seeking experienced and qualified CCQ foremen to join their team. Requirements

  • Must hold a CCQ Journeyman (excavator operator or heavy machinery operator) competency card.
  • ASP Construction certification is required.
  • Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Team spirit and strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of standard health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements and practices in the construction sector.
  • Must be able to work on a 14-14 rotation system (go-return) on remote sites or in camps.
  • Must be able to work day and night shifts.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a heavy civil mining environment would be an asset.
  • A valid driver's license or equivalent would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate tasks based on priorities and plans.
  • Establish schedules and monitor team attendance.
  • Assign daily and general responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with management and site operations.
  • Supervise and train workers.
  • Report on work progress to supervisors.
  • Responsible for collecting and updating accurate project documentation.
  • Perform other duties as required.
