Contracts Manager - Heavy Civil Construction
About The Position
The Contracts Manager oversees the preparation, negotiation, and execution of a wide range of vendor contracts. The role ensures contract compliance, risk mitigation, and alignment with project goals. The position works cross-functionally with project teams, vendors, and Legal to support contract integrity and successful execution. The position is based in Orem, Utah, and is full-time in the office; remote and hybrid work are not offered. Candidates are subject to a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screen, including THC. The offer and start date are contingent upon successful completion of these screenings. The company notes that applicants with a DUI or felony conviction may not meet eligibility requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Construction Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in contracts management.
- Working knowledge of contract law, insurance requirements, and licensing.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in construction or project-based industries.
- Experience using contract lifecycle management software.
Responsibilities
- Draft and review vendor contracts, subcontracts, service agreements, land leases, and other contracts.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, including intake, review, approval, execution, amendments, and closeout.
- Coordinate with Legal to address risk and ensure compliance.
- Serve as the point of contact for contract inquiries and guidance.
- Maintain contract tracking systems and document repositories.
- Ensure contract execution strategies align with project and company goals.
