The Contracts & Logistics Specialist directs all activities concerned with satisfying customer, supplier, and partner contracts. This role is responsible for the pricing and sourcing of transportation options for internal customers across the USA for various shipment types (Truckload, Hotshot, Partial, and LTL). The specialist acts as a liaison between TW Metals Corporate offices, internal customers, and external customers regarding contracts, leases, and the logistics process. This position identifies opportunities to improve contract and lease management, reviews invoices for operational equipment leases and contracts, and manages daily internal customer requests related to freight and logistics. A key responsibility is ensuring all contracts are managed within a database, with timely notifications to relevant departments before expiry. The role involves performing annual contract reviews based on KPIs, reporting to management, and maintaining accuracy of customer part files against executed contracts. Additionally, the specialist updates pricing files, collaborates with contract administrators and purchasing departments to identify inventory issues (e.g., slow-moving stock), and reports financial risks associated with stock level gaps. This role also works with Contracts leaders and Internal Counsel on contract management, reviews new and amended contractual documents to assess business risk, and ensures commercial compliance. The specialist compiles data for customer bids, researches alternative outlets for contractual materials, and supports managers in customer-facing meetings. They review freight spend patterns, assist internal customers with vendor selection, update rate tables in the internal system for accurate freight cost calculation, and generate reports on business spend, customer, and vendor activities. Finally, the specialist partners with management to identify cost reduction opportunities.
