About The Position

Devereux is one of the nation’s largest nonprofit organizations providing services, insight, and leadership in the evolving field of behavioral healthcare. Devereux-Arizona serves more than 4,000 individuals with emotional, behavioral, and cognitive differences each year across the state. We offer residential treatment, short-term residential treatment, a private school, community-based services, integrated care services, prevention programs, respite services and therapeutic foster care. As a Contracts & Credentialing Specialist, you will be responsible for payer contract administration, provider and facility credentialing, compliance monitoring, and ongoing contract maintenance. This role serves as the primary coordinator for the contract lifecycle, including tracking renewals, amendments, implementation activities, and maintaining contract records. Job duties include managing assigned payer agreements and contract documentation; reviewing contract-related cost and reimbursement analyses; monitoring contract terms, deadlines, and compliance requirements; and ensuring contract records are complete, accurate, and maintained within electronic databases. This position maintains and updates electronic contract files and related databases (EHR), and serves as a liaison between payers, leadership, and operational departments regarding contract administration matters (enrollment activities, documentation submittal, payer fee schedules, payer agreements).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be available to attend two (2) weeks of new hire orientation (paid, Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check
  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment
  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred
  • One (1) plus year of experience in healthcare revenue contracting, finance, provider relations or related experience preferred
