About The Position

This position is responsible for analyzing contracts for profit opportunities. The role involves compiling, analyzing, distributing, and auditing various reports. On occasion, the Contracts Analyst will assist management with TSM training and may be required to supervise non-exempt TSM’s when the Supervisor and Manager are unavailable.

Requirements

  • Must have excellent negotiation and inter-personal skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Power Query, Power Bi and Access skills.
  • Knowledge of sales plans, contracts, GPOs and pricing.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Must be very detail oriented.
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while using a computer.
  • Typically 4 or more years of related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes contracts for profit opportunities, works closely with management, sales representatives, and suppliers. Determine if accounts can access higher tiers through price or tier activations and, if so, work with the sale reps to ensure completion and that proper verification/approval was accomplished by the supplier.
  • Compiles and reviews daily, weekly, and monthly reports for distribution to management, Contracts/Rebate team, and suppliers. Where necessary, complete the reports to ensure the required updates have been done. Reports would include, but are not limited to, the following: CB's Ready to Transmit New Ship-to Address Change Newly Matched Items Contracts Owned By Replacement Item UOM Issues Pharma Audits COT or Non-US Exclusion Accounts Various GPO Sell Price reports (CPS10, ESG, Women’s Care) Membership Reports
  • Analyzes business opportunities / processes: Such as GPO Analysis, expansion of the role of the GPO Hunter database which finds opportunities for existing accounts through contract applications. May also include reviewing opportunities for Equipment Chargebacks.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties, as required.
  • Compiles and distributes the manual chargeback details to various suppliers.
  • Analyzes large negative gp transactions to determine why an item is selling at a low or negative GP%, and correcting Sell Prices, where applicable, to reduce the risk to Schein.
  • Assists management with training new TSM’s.
  • May supervise non-exempt TSM’s, when the Supervisor and Manager are unavailable.
