About The Position

Lead and coordinate machining, metal forming and erection teams to deliver components that meet quality and production targets. Ensure safe, efficient operations through hands-on supervision, machine setup, and process control.

Requirements

• Completion of a relevant trade certificate, diploma, or equivalent combination of training and experience in machining, metal forming, or a related trade.
• Several years of hands-on experience in machining and metal forming operations, including prior supervisory or lead responsibilities.
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.
• Working knowledge of CNC and conventional machine tools, press brakes, welding and fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with quality measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges, and experience with quality assurance practices.
• Strong communication skills, basic computer literacy for production documentation, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of machining, metal forming and erection crews to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, plan workflows, and set up machines and tooling for production runs.
• Monitor and adjust machine operations, including CNC and conventional equipment, to maintain dimensional accuracy and productivity.
• Implement and enforce workplace health and safety procedures, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Train, mentor and evaluate tradespersons and operators, assign tasks, and manage workload distribution.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs with maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
