About The Position

The Contractor Sales Representative (CSR) sells 84 Lumber products and services to current and prospective customers away from 84 Lumber store locations. The role focuses on building positive customer relationships and developing a book of business as a path toward becoming an Outside Sales Representative. Other duties may be assigned by the Store Manager.

Requirements

Ability to function in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
Ability to read prints and blueprints and create material estimates.
Ability to source special-order material.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain a network of sources to identify new sales leads.
Communicate with customers and leads to understand their product or service needs and suggest suitable products and services.
Demonstrate product or service functions and utility based on customer needs.
Maintain customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management, and resolve post-sale issues.
Keep existing and former customers informed about potentially relevant new products, services, and enhancements.
Maintain detailed reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and customer or vendor relationship problems.
Create and continually grow a book of business and acquire new customers.
Create material estimates and read blueprints.
Source special-order material.
Respond to common customer inquiries or complaints.
