About The Position

AIT Home Delivery, a division of AIT Worldwide Logistics, is seeking contractors for assembly and installation of outdoor products in the Chicago area. This contract role offers the potential to earn $40K-$100K+ based on work accepted. Contractors will be offered various types of work and can choose which contracts to accept. Most assignments require a qualified helper, forming two-man teams.

Requirements

Sufficient vehicle for the work being performed.
Reliable helper; two-man teams required.
Ownership of hand and power tools.
Mechanical aptitude and experience to build products to manufacturer specifications.
An EIN (federal tax ID).
Compliance with insurance and vehicle registrations.
Compliance with state laws for the vehicle being used.
Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Tech savvy with a mobile phone.
Excellent communication skills.
Willingness to undergo background and drug screens (for contractor and helper).
Willingness to undergo MVR checks (for driving contractors).

Nice To Haves

Experience with concrete is preferred.
For Basketball Installations only, a pick-up truck, van, or smaller box truck is required.
DOT /MC numbers may be required for GVWR over 10,000 lbs.

Responsibilities

Assembly of large outdoor products at customers' homes, including playsets, pergolas, gazebos, resin structures, sheds, and inground basketball hoops.
Occasional pick-up and delivery of product to homes, specifically for basketball hoops, requiring a vehicle capable of transport.
Ensuring reliable transportation to and from work-sites.
Providing exceptional customer service.
