About The Position

KEYENCE is seeking a Contract Specialist to join their Legal team at their U.S. Headquarters in Itasca, IL. This role is crucial for minimizing organizational risk and supporting both corporate and sales functions. The Contract Specialist will be responsible for evaluating, drafting, and managing contractual agreements to ensure they align with business objectives and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to translate business needs into effective contractual solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in contract administration, procurement, or contract negotiation
  • Strong integrity and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex contractual language and business concepts
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management systems and risk assessment practices
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and maintain accurate records

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of direct experience in contract administration or similar role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries from internal stakeholders, including Sales and Corporate teams
  • Review, analyze, and assess customer and vendor agreements to identify risks and recommend appropriate revisions
  • Draft, edit, and maintain Keyence standard legal documents and contract templates
  • Support contract lifecycle management, including drafting, negotiation, execution, tracking, and termination
  • Lead or support projects related to legal review, contract standardization, and process improvements
  • Ensure contracts are aligned with company policies, legal standards, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and contract data within designated systems
