About The Position

Peregrine helps public safety organizations, state and local governments, federal agencies, and private-sector institutions address societal challenges with AI-enabled platforms. This role is critical for supporting sales and business development efforts by drafting, reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating all sales contracts. The specialist will map contract tradeoffs to business goals, guide the procurement process, and support the sales team with compliance, pricing, and delivery requirements. This position is deeply impactful toward company objectives and customer acquisition, requiring collaboration with legal, finance, sales, and operations in a fast-paced, autonomous environment. The role demands ownership of delivering contracts with an empathetic understanding of customer funding and procurement processes.

Requirements

  • Expertise in state and local government contracts.
  • Skilled communicator who can clearly explain and shape customer understanding of contract options and terms.
  • Skilled at internal communications to help stakeholders understand options and tradeoffs.
  • Ability to mitigate risk for the business while maintaining a customer-first attitude.
  • Skilled negotiator who can independently drive momentum and make clear, vetted trade-offs.

  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
  • 5+ years of contracting experience in the enterprise software/SaaS space, state and local governments strongly preferred.
  • Experience using contract lifecycle management systems and customer relationship management software, Salesforce strongly preferred.
  • Ability and comfort in negotiating and closing legal agreements with customers and supporting new customers through onboarding processes.
  • Experience utilizing direct contracting mechanisms and 3rd party contracting vehicles such as Cooperative Purchasing Agreements.
  • Familiarity with solution-based selling.
  • Experience in teaming with others to navigate a complex sales process.
  • Excellent executive-level written communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Located in Washington, D.C., and willing to come into the office 4 days/week.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, analyze, and negotiate all sales contracts.
