About The Position

Civil CFO is seeking a contract sourcer to find and engage current and former CFOs from construction companies for its Fractional CFO searches. The role focuses on reaching passive candidates who are not actively looking for jobs, assessing their initial qualifications and interest, and delivering qualified, interested candidates to the Civil CFO team.

The sourcer will build and run searches, write personalized outreach, conduct brief first-pass calls, record qualified candidates in the ATS, and provide weekly pipeline updates. Final interviews, scheduling, and offers are handled by the Civil CFO team. The engagement is a US-based, fully remote 1099 contract paid hourly at $60–$110, depending on experience, with approximately 10 hours of work per week that may fluctuate with hiring needs. The sourcer sets their own schedule and methods. Ongoing work is expected to start in early December.

Requirements

• Experience sourcing CFO, VP Finance, or Controller roles.
• Comfort working in an ATS and maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to write outreach that sounds human rather than templated or AI-generated.
• A track record of finding passive candidates through direct outreach.

Responsibilities
