Contract RN Med/Surg- Nights
About The Position
InterHealth Staffing, the for-profit staffing division of Tampa General Hospital, offers flexible clinical opportunities, including 13–26-week contract assignments. Contract roles focus on possible conversion to permanent employment; extensions may also be available based on business needs and mutual interest. Nurses work in a complex healthcare environment while delivering compassionate care to the communities served by Tampa General Hospital. Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager or designee, and following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, the Registered Nurse delivers care to patients across the lifespan, from neonatal through geriatric. The nurse provides professional nursing care in areas covered by the Specialty Staffing Team within the assigned clinical division and performs duties in accordance with Tampa General Hospital’s mission, vision, and values.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida.
- BSN required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the relevant Med/Surg Division required.
Nice To Haves
- National Certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement nursing care.
- Document nursing assessments.
- Identify and report situations requiring further intervention.
- Formulate and communicate a goal-directed plan of care.
- Assure patient rights.
- Provide professional nursing care to patients in areas covered by the Specialty Staffing Team within the assigned clinical division.
