About The Position

InterHealth Staffing, the for-profit staffing division of Tampa General Hospital, offers flexible healthcare opportunities, including 13–26-week contract assignments with competitive pay. Contract roles focus on potential conversion to permanent employment; extensions may also be available based on business needs and mutual interest. Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager or designee, and in accordance with established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, the Registered Nurse delivers nursing care to patients throughout the life span, from neonatal through geriatric. The nurse plans and implements care, documents nursing assessments, identifies and reports situations requiring further intervention, formulates and communicates goal-directed plans of care, and assures patient rights. The role provides professional nursing care in areas covered by the Specialty Staffing Team within the assigned clinical division and requires performing duties in accordance with Tampa General Hospital’s mission, vision, and values.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida.
BSN required.
BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
Minimum of 1 year in a relevant Med/Surg Division required.

Nice To Haves

National Certification preferred.
