About The Position

The Contract Recruiter proactively sources, recruits, and screens candidates to maintain a pipeline of high-potential talent. Through interviews and candidate assessment, the role ensures hires align with the organization’s “Cardinal Way” culture and have the competencies needed to support excellence within its communities. The position performs work under direct supervision, handles basic issues, refers more complex issues to higher-level staff, and requires beginning to working knowledge of the subject matter.

The position works in an office environment and also has frequent exposure to outside elements that may be unpleasant or hazardous. Routine local travel is required, and overnight travel may be required for training, property visits, and special projects. Responsibilities

• Consult with hiring managers to understand roles to be filled and ideal candidate profiles.
• Review and assess applicants’ education, experience, training, and other qualifications.
• Verify employment eligibility, gather necessary paperwork, and perform reference and background checks.
• Schedule interviews and coordinate interviewers or panels.
• Test and score applicants and gather feedback from other interviewers.
• Inform candidates about job duties, responsibilities, work schedules, compensation and benefits packages, and career advancement opportunities.
• Prepare and extend job offers.
• Notify applicants of rejection.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
