About The Position

The Florida Department of Children and Families is seeking a highly qualified Contract Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of contractual agreements within the Office of Economic Self-Sufficiency. This includes drafting, coordinating, executing, and monitoring contracts to ensure the effective and compliant use of state and federal funds. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Responsibilities also include providing expert-level contract support to leadership and stakeholders, maintaining alignment with all applicable laws and regulations, and exercising sound judgment in contract or procurement-related decisions. Requirements

  • At least one year of contract management, contract administration, or purchasing experience working in a professional office environment.

  • Completion of Florida Certified Contract Manager Certification (FCCM).
  • Completion of Florida Certified Contract Negotiator Certification (FCCN).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of contractual agreements within the Office of Economic Self-Sufficiency.
  • Drafting, coordinating, executing, and monitoring contracts to ensure the effective and compliant use of state and federal funds.
  • Providing expert-level contract support to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Maintaining alignment with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Exercising sound judgment in contract or procurement-related decisions.
  • Perform all job tasks in accordance with laws, rules, regulations, policies, and requirements applicable to state and federal laws or procedures.
  • May be required on short notice to perform duties and travel in support of disaster relief.
  • May be required to work more than 8 hours per day during disaster events.
