About The Position

This position provides oversight, direction, and coordination for all operations and maintenance (O&M) activities at an assigned jobsite to ensure adherence to contractual objectives. The role involves supervising and coordinating the activities of skilled trades workers engaged in maintaining and repairing equipment, structures, utility systems, buildings, and grounds at the assigned jobsite.

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • Technically qualified in the field of Healthcare Facilities Management
  • Five (5) years of experience in a business occupancy medical research facility operations and maintenance
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience servicing and/or renovating commercial buildings, including supervision of a diversified work force responsible for operations, maintenance and repair of commercial building infrastructure systems.
  • Knowledgeable with the various codes and standards applicable to the O&M tasks covered by the PWS, EM385-1-1, UFC, TJC, NFPA, EPA, and OSHA codes and standards.
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in the operation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems, fire systems and security systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and PPE procedures.
  • Ability to conduct accident investigations and safety inspections.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites and basic computer skills.
  • Must be eligible to get a common access card (CAC) to use with Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior DMLSS experience is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform O & M Management administration functions, handling a variety of actions and problems relating to assigned contract(s).
  • Monitor management plans are designed to accomplish contractual objectives and provide direction and support to subcontractors, support staff, trades, and crafts.
  • Responsible for scheduling work to be performed.
  • Responsible for submitting various monthly progress reports in accordance with contract.
  • Manages and commits contract resources; monitors budgets on assigned contracts.
  • Responsible for safety of all personnel on job, including sub-personnel, compliance with environmental standards and quality of work performed.
  • Conducts training of staff, as well as safety meetings and briefings.
  • Research and address customer and employee complaints.
  • Additional duties as required.
